Food and Drink
The number one thing I pack in our bag every time we go to Seaworld is WATER. We are are pretty big water drinkers anyways, but when we are walking around (especially in the Florida heat), we consume a lot of water. I like to freeze two bottles, and throw in at least two more that are refrigerated.
You can also get free water at the park at any quick service station. Just be aware that the cups are on the small side for an adult, and you might have to wait quite awhile in line on busy days just for your small cup of water.
I received this cooler backpack for Christmas, and it’s been amazing. It keeps our drinks fresh and cool all day long. One downside to Seaworld is that they do NOT allow any snacks to be brought into the park whatsoever, and they do not allow any drinks except water. This is true even if you have a toddler (sorry!) but there is a little wiggle room if you have a special diet.
My recommendation for a full day at Seaworld is their All-Day Dining Plan. It’s always worth it if you plan on eating at least two meals there, you are allowed something every hour, and it includes water. If you don’t plan to stay all day, I highly recommend checking to see if there are any food festivals happening during your visit. They have them nearly year-round now, and I think they are a great value for what you get, particularly if you purchase a lanyard.
Merchandise
There are lots of great gift shops at Seaworld. A particular favorite around our house has been their stuffed animals. On days when I’ve decided that Cash will get a souvenir of some sort, I give him a budget and tell him he has all day to search for one thing. At the end of the day, he gets to tell me what his decision is, and we’ll go buy it. He has fun checking stuff out everywhere we go, and he knows that I am going to say yes to something, so it cuts down on the whining and pleading. It also cuts down on having to carry stuff, and then worry about losing it.
Inside the Park Deals
If you are a soda drinker, particularly if you are going all day, I recommend the refill cup. You can purchase one at the beginning of your day, and refill it all day for free. On later visits, you can refill the cup for 99 cents per refill.
If you are going to be there all day, I love the All-Day Dining Deal. You get SO MUCH FOOD, free water, and can get something “new” every hour, so you can try a lot of different things. The only time we don’t do All-Day Dining is if we are just going for a few hours, or if we want to sample the current food festival (which is not included).
